This year is our 10th year of operation! With a decade of experience and music behind us we are gearing up for another decade and we need to hear from you!
Our whole purpose is to unleash the power of music in your life! Be a part of the 2nd decade! All suggestions for name and logo will be entered into a contest! The winner will be honored at our 10 year grand unveiling event! (Details to follow!)

Folks, we are growing! Growth is great, but we need some assistance if we are going to continue to grow and keep great quality programming and great customer service! That means we need to call on you to make this a reality. We need 10 dedicated individuals to make the commitment to donate $10.00 a month online and get 5 of their friends to do the same! We are preparing our summer schedule, so if you need classes, workshops, concerts, professional development sessions for educators, in school, after school, child care center programming, family or lifelong learning programs in your community, call at 602.353.9900.
WE NEED HELP..
Would you like to become more involved in the organization? Help in ways that will make an impactful difference? Here are a few ways that PCM could use some helping hands!
- TECH WIZARD: PCM is looking to revamp it's website to be more interactive, and engaging. We need help to do this.. blogging, my space, etc. Please call if you are interested in volunteering to be our web maestro!
- SCRAPBOOKING SAVIOR: We have pictures, fliers, newsletters, and programs (oh, my!) If you like to scrapbook, and would like to help, we would love to have you!!
- PROGRAM VIDEOGRAPHER/ PHOTOGRAPHER: Do you like to take pictures? Do video documentary? We need some able bodied people to do both at our PCM programs! (classes, workshops, concerts, etc.)
- COMMITTEES: That's right! We are starting to form committees! The two committees we are starting are a fundraising committee and a special events committee. If either of these things are your cup of tea; we would love to add you to our team!

School News
As always, PCM does it's best to act as a resource for schools. This year brings us many new and exciting partnerships, in school residencies, and after school programs, the return of some good friends, and new friends as well! Take a peak at many of the exciting programs happening around the valley!
Franklin Arts Academies: This year PCM will be joining the three campuses of Franklin Arts Academies providing their general music program for K-8 grades! PCM teaching Artists Renee Saxon and Jeremy Jarvis are proud to be at the schools and is looking forward to a successful year!

Arizona School for the Arts: PCM Teaching Artist Dr. Liz Rhodes is facilitating the Arizona School for the Arts Foundations I Choir this year! PCM is proud to be a part of the ASA family! Edison Elementary School: PCM Teaching Artists Mr. Hector Martinez and Mr. Andres Martinez from Nosotrosound, along with Ms. Renee Saxon will be at Edison Elementary School working with after school students in the YES to Success Program this year with World Music, Music From Latin America, and Lots and lots of fun!! We would also like to thank the artistic talents of Hip Hop dance Company Foot Klan, Peter Torsiello of Flor Y Piedra, and Taiko Drummer Eileen Morgan for coming in and working with our students!!
Papago Elementary School: PCM is proud to be joining Papago Elementry School with after school programs in World Music and Guitar for the entire year! PCM Teaching Artists Dr. Elizabeth Rhodes and Mr. Jeremy Runyon are happy to be joining this great environment! Keep posted for more information about our community sharing event!
Wilson Elementary School: PCM is back at Wilson Elementary School for another semester of World Music Programs! We would like to thank the following artists for sharing their craft with our students:

- Porangui, Brazilian Percussion
- Peter Torsiello, Flamenco
- Cynthia Elek, Songs and Dances around the world
We would also like to welcome PCM's newest teaching artist, Porangui. He will be continuing his work with Wilson's students to teach them Brazilian Percussion! (Carnival- here we come!!)
Faith North Montessori: This semester at Faith North Montessori, PCM Teaching Artist Ms. Randi Meador will be conducting a Super Singing Program after school! What an amazing group of students! Thank you, everyone, for your hard work and dedication!
PCM would like to welcome our newest school partner:
Star Shine Academies! PCM teaching artist Jeremy Runyon will be joining Star Shine Academies to facilitate a beginning guitar program. This residency will be a year round program that take these young people, give them beginning skills and form them into a beginning performance ensemble!
Shaw Elementary School: This semester at Shaw, PCM Teaching Artist Mr. Andres Martinez will be facilitating My Musical! A program that introduces concepts, and process of musical theater after school!

Take Advantage of Private Lessons!
The Maryvale Community Center (4420 N. 51st Avenue) continues to offer the perfect setting for private lessons.
Lessons Available for Young Children through Adults (seniors, too!) in: Piano, Guitar, Voice, Violin! Lessons are one-on-one, for one hour each week, will be offered in six week blocks, and include one student/faculty recital at the end of the six weeks.
PCM offers lessons to all students of all ages, for most ability levels. Students 8 and under may need to have a parent or caregiver stay with them during the course of the lesson. **Some lessons available in Spanish. Cool your summer down and get your creative juices flowing with music making. To register, call PCM directly at 602.353.9900

How can you make a difference?
Volunteer: For Special Events, In the Office or the Classroom! Be on the advisory board or the governing board!
Be Involved: Be an ambassador, advocate, or asker! An ambassador takes every opportunity to let someone know about the good works that PCM does. An Advocate shares information with a purpose to their social network, public officials, and funders! Be an Asker- Make a gift to the organization and ask your networks to do the same!
Give: Make a monthly online donation through pay pal. Sign up and $10 or $25 comes out of your checking account or credit card monthly without you having to think about it! Cost effective, safe, and convenient! A few clicks away from being able to help unleash the power of music!!
