Early Childhood Programs

PCM can offer early childhood programs for parents/caregivers and children or children in a day care or pre-school facility!  All programs are play based, build music competency, and add extra vitamins such as exposure to emergent literacy, social skills, developmental skills with motor movement, and beginning math skills!

Parent/Tot Music Time: Children ages 6 months-4 years and their Parents or primary care givers.

A fun interactive way for families to bring music into their home.  Helps develop musical competency in young children and their caregivers.  Each child and caregiver duo will learn how to play together in ways that will enhance their childs musical and general development.  Learn new songs and games and play music on child friendly instruments.  One child per caregiver.  PCM Faculty have had special training with The Center for Music and Young Children in Princeton, N.J. and the Stratford Career Institute.  Class size limited to 15 Caregiver/child teams. Growing Young Musicians: Children 5-8

At Growing Young Musicians, each child will learn about playing instruments in every musical family! Get a hands on learning approach for strings, percussion, melodic percussion, and winds.  Students will get to  "pet" instruments in the PCM petting zoo, learn the basics of reading music through games and fun activities and make some instruments from recycled or household materials.  Students will play thier instruments while exploring music from around the world!  A great precursor to private lessons!  Class size limited to 15 students.  Curriculum developed by Bonnie Lou Olander.

All programs can be offered as intergenerational programs for children ages 6 through 106!
