On June 02, 2008 PCM opened its doors at 7801 North Black Canyon Highway, Suite C in Phoenix!! PCM, Executive Director, Regina Nixon, says that,” We are all very excited about the move. The facility is a warm, family friendly place. We have doubled our space, gaining 3 private lesson rooms and one small ensemble room, a teacher resource room, storage for instruments, and three administrative offices. This is wonderful news because we can deepen our community’s musical learning and experiences! We look forward to having a home and making ourselves part of the community!” PCM will also be offering classes at our new facility. Classes will range from early childhood classes, beginning and advanced classes in guitar, voice, piano and percussion, music theory and composition, to ethnic music classes and performing ensembles! Classes are only $10 per week!
 “This is such a huge step for us in the right direction. The community has already been so very generous. We have had two pianos donated, an organ, sound dampening panels, and lots of music for our libraries. But there are things that we need. The most pressing need that we have is to start a scholarship program for kids in the community that cannot afford lessons.”
“The other new programs we will launch at our facility are a neonatal music program for expecting families, and an artist support group. As an organization, we can offer our artist members (those who teach for PCM, and those who join our network) access to: artist networking and drop in events, encouraging collaboration and new mediums, access to Fractured Atlas, that gives artists access to professional development grants, webinars, discounted health care, discounted media kits, etc., and professional development across disciplines for teaching artists. We hope to nurture the artists in our community, let them know that they have an organization who knows the necessity of the work that they do and that we have their backs.
